I thought for those of you who fancied a change, then the master cleanse is a fast I have done before, and is really very possible.
I spent the first two days coming off normal food and focussing on juices, smoothies and soups. I usually find I am ready to fast, so I don't have huge cravings. When we are no longer feeling hungry in the day in the lead up to the fast, it is a sign our bodies are 'full'...no appetite for anything ...in more ways than one. This is the time I usually do one.
x 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon
x2 tbsps of maple syrup (I only had this for the first three days, and then it was too sweet, and I was drinking just the lemon juice on the 6th day (which was the final day of my actual fast, because I then took two days to reintroduce my system to juices soups and smoothies. )
1/10 teaspoon cayenne
In a glass of water about 6 x a day
I am a fan of enemas, so I did one before my first drink. It is common to become a bit constipated on a liquid diet, and so a salt flush is recommended first thing in the morning when you need it.
Salt Flush recipe:
Dissolve two teaspoons of salt in 4 cups of water - it is a lot to drink! However the effect is almost instantaneous, and allows you to feel even more virtuous as you feel lighter and healthier as the days go by.
I used the salt flush recipe first thing for the first few days.
So the change the body goes through during the master cleanse is called ketosis, when the body eventually stops feeling hungry and fires on ketones instead. It then becomes much steadier, with less ups and downs, rather than the way it can feel on carbohydrate or sugar (erratic, hypoglaecemic); as a result of ketosis you will feel less hungry as the days go by, and include less and less maple syrup - it is included to tide you over in the first few days.
At this time, when I know I have been very full: healing work, helping people, my daughter's 18th, her disappointments throughout lock-down, A-levels, her friends, not to mention the US election, Brexit and COVID -
What a good time to cleanse....

I slept during the day at times.
I used my kinesiology skills and rebalanced my energies.
I used the Wild Potato Bush Flower remedy; flower remedies always help me by reminding me of the other dimensions in play.

So, the negative qualities that this plant essence can help, are the feelings of being weighed down, physically encumbered and frustrated.
